This is a summer day camp for kids ages 8-14, at our awesome clubhouse at Pier 7 marina. Pier 7 is a gated marina with multiple beaches at the intersection of the South River and Warehouse Creek. We have a clubhouse in the marina building right on the water. This camp will involve a combination of activities from kayaking, arts and crafts, basic dog obedience skills, and learning about our local environment on the Chesapeake Bay.

The kayaking portion will begin with kids learning basic paddling skills. From there we will explore Warehouse Creek on kayaks and do some fun activities like relay races and scavenger hunts. Because Whoof has a heart for dogs, we’ll be teaching some basic dog obedience skills with some visiting pups. And weather permitting, we’ll work in a family picnic one day when parents and well-behaved family pups can join us for an afternoon.

Our arts and crafts program will involve various projects throughout the summer, including clay works, painting, group murals, crafting and more. We are working with other local artists and companies to put together different projects each week so that, if kids want to come more than one week, they will be doing something different each time!

Each camp runs for one week, Monday through Friday from 9-4. Regular drop off is between 8:30-9:00. Early drop-off (starting at 7:30) and late pickup (until 5:30) are available, and can be purchased on site in the clubhouse as needed ($5 each time), or bought in advance for the whole week at a 20% discount at the time of registration. Campers should know how to swim, and should bring their own lunch, water, snacks, sunscreen, bathing suit, hat, towel and change of clothes.
