Oh What An Anniversary!

Oh What a Day to Celebrate–Our First Anniversary!

Wow! I can’t believe that just a little over a year ago, we opened Whoof on the Wharf–my dream venture to promote the love of outdoors and to share that love with our four-legged friends.

I was so excited to see the many people who either (a) love to kayak with their dogs or (b) were willing to give it a go–and then find out how much fun it is! Even if the dogs are a little cautious at first, it’s great to see both pets and humans experience new things–and then get excited about doing it again!

Our Expansion

We are so lucky to be able to expand this year and put our club house right next to the launch area. It’s now so much easier to coordinate kayaks and launches. For those who have come out to enjoy the beautiful spring (almost summer) weather, you know exactly what I’m talking about! And many thanks to those who came out to our grand re-opening a few weeks back, and enjoyed checking out some fantastic vendors! We were so happy to introduce Smash Up Burgers to our kayaking friends. Crispy edges, juicy middles and a passion for a guy with a love of burgers!

Looking for New Ideas?

We had so much fun the first year, but we want to learn more about what activities people liked to do–anyone up for puppy yoga or photo shoots? And our paint nights are about as fun, relaxing and creative as you can get. Feel free to message me on Facebook or call the clubhouse to suggest an activity.

And we also took in some unobstructed viewing of Navy’s Blue Angels a few weeks back! What a treat.

My Personal Thanks

I am forever grateful to my friends and family who have helped me get this venture off the ground to where it is today. I am so blessed to have you in my life. We’re off to a great summer of kayaking once again! Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me when I wasn’t quite sure where to start…or how to finish. It’s a never-ending quest, but we’re making progress!
